SpeedPong

This is an arcade, terminal-style pong game. This is my second game on itch.io and I hope you enjoy it.

Instructions:

Before opening, it is recommended that the volume is less than 20% as it can be very loud for some users.

In the menu, there are 2 options, "Start" and the difficulty settings ("Medium" at default). After "Start" is pressed the player's paddle will follow the mouse, pressing the difficulty button scrolls between "Easy", "Medium", and "Hard".

Pressing the 'i' key will show game stats. Pressing the 'h' key will show hitboxes. Pressing "ESC" in the menu will close the game, while pressing in-game will go to the menu, acting as a pause-screen where everything freezes in place until you press "Start again", the difficulty may still be changed.

When the ball hits the upper walls, the bot will get slightly faster, this can be checked in the game stats. When the ball hits a paddle, the ball's speed increases, which can also be checked in the game stats.
